The Kiwisport programme encompasses 16 leading sports, modifying them to suit the capabilities of nine to 12-year-olds. Its aim is to involve more children in physical recreation and teach them the basic techniques so they can progress later to the fully-fledged games they choose. Kiwisport is supported by the Hillary Commission and endorsed by 16 national sports associations.
