Lee (Nat.’, Coromandel) presented the petition of John Edward Albert Allen and 2239. others asking that the House recommend to the Government that.any proposal to introduce a Bill of Rights in New Zealand should be subject to a referendum requiring a two-thirds majority of electors' before proceeding and that equal publicly funded opportunities be given for proponents and opponents of the proposal to present- their respective cases.
