Welsh club signs hooker
NZPA London Welsh club Pontypridd have signed up the hooker, Cameron Herbert, to introduce some New Zealand influence into their championship drive, the “Western Mail” reported yesterday. The paper said that the King Country provincial player would arrive in Wales with the Pontypridd skipper, Ceri Jones, from New Zealand next week. Jones has spent the northern hemisphere summer broadening his rugby experience in New Zealand where he met Herbert and persuaded him to come to Pontypridd.
