Victims

Sir,—lt seems that I have a choice of becoming a one-in-five victim of heart disease, a one-in-five victim of breast cancer, a one-in-five etc., of lung cancer, cervical cancer, footrot, motor accident or, if not so exclusively honoured, wiped out along with thousands of my neighbours in a one-in-500 years earthquake. May I suggest that before any of these disasters strike we will all have become the victims of theori syndrome. I think I shall call it Theoriombosis. — Yours, etc.,

C. HADLER. September 8,1988.
