Auckland colts win
PA Hamilton Trouncing Wellington 46-9 in the final, Auckland proved itself to be in a class of its own in the colts quadrangular rugby tournament completed at Hamilton at the week-end. Wellington held Auckland reasonably well to 18-9 in the
first half but was not able to take advantage of a strong wind. In the second spell the wind dropped but Auckland strengthened its hold on the game and a powerful pack created numerous chances for strong running backs in a fine team effort.
