Miserly men mean in bed?

NZPA London Miserly men who don’t buy their wives flowers or chocolates are also mean in bed, according to a survey. But husbands who are generous and spoil their partners make good lovers, says a West German institute for marriage and family research. The institute, which surveyed more than 500 couples, divided the men into three categories — mean, average and generous.

The “meanies” hand over housekeeping money each week but nothing else.

Average men occasionally bring home gifts and the generous husbands regularly buy their wives gifts or take them out to dinner.

The survey showed that mean husbands made love to their wives 1.8 times a week, average husbands 2.3 times and generous spouses 2.8 times.

But the statistics also showed that 11 per cent of generous husbands were more likely to flirt, compared with 1 per cent of average men and 3 per cent of “meanies.”
