Hospital waiting list lengthens
p A Wellington Wellington Hospital Board’s waiting list has reached another record of 7091 and nearly half the people on it have been waiting for more than six months.
A quarterly report presented to the board’s
house committee meeting shows 4323 people are waiting for surgery at Wellington Hospital, 2539 at Hutt Hospital and 229 at Kenepuru Hospital. In the last three months, the number of people on the board’s waiting list has increased 203 or 2.9 per cent.
