Tomahawk attack
A man was attacked with a tomahawk during a fight . at a Bordesley Street, Linwood, address early yesterday morning. He suffered arm injuries which required hospital treatment, but was later discharged, said Senior-Sergeant Dick Pettet ' The fight about
6.30 a.m., after an all-night party at the address. Three other people at the party intervened, took to the man wielding the tomahawk and “gave him a bit of a dust-up,” said Senior-Sergeant Pettet. The police were called, while the offender ran off, chased by one of the
three. A man, aged 26, was later arrested, and charged with assault with intent to injure, and carrying an offensive weapon. He was to be kept in custody overnight to appear in court this morning, said Senior-Sergeant Pettet.
