Driver beaten, robbed
A motorist was yesterday dragged from his car, beaten, and robbed of his leather jacket. He was with his girlfriend when a carload of men pulled up alongside their parked vehicle in a Papatoetoe street at 6.30 p.m. Sergeant Mark Anderson said two men got out of the car, one of whom punched the motorist through the open car window. The man was pulled from his car, bashed again and his jacket taken. The attackers drove off in their car, which had a beer keg in the back, said the police. —PA
