Women golfers sixth
Liz Douglas, of Canterbury, and Jan Cooke, of Bay of Plenty, both carded 75s as New Zealand made considerable advance to equal sixth after three rounds of the women’s world amateur golf championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy in Sweden yesterday. New Zealand, eighth after the first round, slumped to thirteenth after 36 of the 72 holes. But both Douglas and Cooke had their best rounds yesterday to help New Zealand’s rise.
