Bodies in creek
PA Auckland A relative retracing the route two missing men would have taken from Whenuapai early on Sunday found their car and corpses in a creek yesterday. Police and fire officers last evening recovered from a Whenuapai creek the bodies of the two young men, who they said had been killed in a car crash early on Sunday. The police said the two
men had left an address in Whenuapai at 3 a.m. on Sunday, heading for Kau-
kapakapa, when their car hit a concrete bridge. The car then catapulted over a 10m bank into the Brigham creek.
The police said members of one of the men’s families had retraced the route from Whenuapai and, stopping on the bridge, discovered the car, which was not visible from the road.
The two were reported missing early yesterday.
