Nobilo wins open
NZPA-Reuter Falsterbo; Sweden Frank Nobilo, of New Zealand, held off another fine challenge from the titleholder, Howard Clark, of Britain, to become the seventh new winner of the 1988 European golf tour in the PLM Open at Flommens yesterday. Nobilo, who led all the way after a record opening round 63, closed with a 68 for a 10-under-par 270 total, one shot better than Clark whose closing 66 was not quite good enough. The 28-year-old Auckland man, whose last victory was three years ago in the New Zealand P.G.A. Championship, earned £33,126 ($NZ84,140).
