Bowling secretary dies
Mrs Patricia Ambrose, a long serving secretary for the Canterbury provincial bowling centre died suddenly recently.
Mrs Ambrose had served eight years as secretary and although not directly involved with playing, had a good understanding of the game
and was a popular figure. She will be remembered as a efficient, and pleasant person with a retentive memory. Her loss will be particular felt by the local executive and the headquarters of the New Zealand Bowling Association who depended on her reliable work.
