‘Allo, Allo,’ stage show to come to N.Z.
PA Wellington The stage show of the popular television series, “Allo, Allo,” will come to New Zealand in October and November. Eight of the television cast including Rene (played by Gordon Kaye), Helga (Kim Hartman), and the Colonel (Richard Marner) would be in the stage production, said the promotor, Mr Tony Goodliffe. In all, 12 of the stage show’s cast to tour here had played in the production in Britain, he said. Mr Goodliffe was confident the show would get a good reception in New Zealand because of the popularity of the tele-
vision series. He said he had been trying to get the show for a long time. About 35 performances would be given in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. The Siberian Cossacks, a company of 70 Russian dancers, will perform in New Zealand next month for the first time in more than 10 years. They will put on shows in Invercargill, Dunedin, Christchurch Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton, beginning in late September. The performances are part of a $3 million tour of Australia and New Zealand.
