Stable quinella
The Seadown trainer, David Gaffaney, provided a quinella in the Moyles Pharmacy Pace at Timaru yesterday with stable runners, Madam Melba and Petite Regal. Madam Melba, a five-year-old mare by Plat Du Jour and formerly trained by Brian Goodyer, scored an upset all-the-way win over the second favourite, Petite Regal, a four-year-old Double Century mare which was making her debut. She trailed the winner but was unable to run her down in ' the straight.
