A festival celebrating women’s talents and skills is being held at the University of Canterbury this week.
The opening dance and band performances by women from Nelson and Dunedin on Monday attracted up to 200 people, said the women's rights officer at the university;
Ms Jules Goodger.
The aim of the festival was to promote and celebrate women’s skills, talents and knowledge, she said.
It was not an event to show men how good women were, but to create role models for other,j,women. z t i
