PA Wellington Bets with the Totalisator Agency Board on the New Brighton Harness Racing Club’s meeting last evening totalled $1,526,920 (win and place $718,973, quinellas $324,976, doubles $112,554, trifectas $265,500, trebles $104,917). This total was up $36,237 on last year’s figure. On-course bets totalled $401,898 (up $34,306).
Bets with the Totalisator Agency Board on the Opunake Racing Club’s meeting at Hawera yesterday, totalled $2,368,567 (win and place $1,086,739, quinellas $576,023, doubles $139,469, trifectas $424,263, trebles $142,073,). This was an increase of $136,491 on last year’s total.
On-course bets totalled $254,450 (up $34,077).
