Timeplex, an international communications company, has established a New Zealand branch. Mr Garry Fahey has been appointed general manager of Timeplex New Zealand, Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Timeplex. Mr Fahey also heads Timeplex Australia, which was established in March of last year and until now also serviced the New Zealand market.

Timeplex New Zealand will be based in Wellington. It says it will be the only communications company operating directly in New Zealand offering integrated voice and data networks.

Timeplex is a leader in voice/data networking technology based on T-l/E-1 high speed digital transmission products and services. The company, headquartered in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey, had sales of SUSI47.2M for the fiscal year ended June 30, 1987. Mr Fahey says Timeplex has already won several major New Zealand clients including Broadcasting Commission, Telecom Corporation, and Fay Richwhite.
