John Walker first
PA London The Olympic contender, John Walker, won a 1500 m race in Dublin yesterday — his first outing since his ankle was badly spiked at a London meeting on Friday. The evergreen 36-year-old, who had been unable to train after his achilles tendon was bruised at Crystal Palace, finished in the relatively slow time of 3:41.23. Walker finished ahead of Britain’s Chris McGeorge after the double Olympic champion, Sebastian Coe, pulled out with a calf injury.
