German missing valuables

A passport, patient diary, address book and $2OO in cash was stolen on Saturday from a car belonging to Mr Herbert Wolpert, who has recently arrived from West Germany to work as a child and family therapist at the Rudolf Steiner School in Opawa. The stolen goods were in a satchel in a yellow left-hand drive Cortina parked in Sullivan Avenue near the Christchurch Polytechnic on Saturday evening. Mr Wolpert’s friend, Mr Richard Proctor, told “The Press” that Mr Wolpert did not speak good English and would have difficulty replacing the stolen items, especially the address book.

Mr Wolpert can be reached through the Rudolf Steiner School if anyone knows the whereabouts of the stolen items. They have been reported missing to the police.
