Fears held for youth
Fears are held for the well-being of a Christchurch youth missing from his Hillmorton home for 10 days. The police say Matthew Scott Whittle, aged 16, left home in Charles Upham Avenue at 3 p.m. on July 1 and has not been seen since. He has the mental age of a seven-year-old.
Matthew was last seen wearing an olive-green nylon bomber jacket and black or grey tracksuit pants. He was wearing maroon running shoes. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the City South Police Station.
