Directory will help developers
An environmental directory has been published to help developers contact environmental groups to discuss development proposals.
National and local environmental associations and groups are listed in the directory, jointly published by the Ministry for the Environment and the Environmental Council. "We hope developers
will use the directory to canvass the views of environmental groups before they find each other on opposing sides at a planning hearing,” said "Ms Diane Menzies, the Ministry’s manager of communications.
The directory costs $6, and is available from the Ministry for the Environment.
