Three on heroin supply charges
PA Auckland Three men arrested in a police move against a heroin ring in Auckland have been remanded in custody until next week. The three, a shop owner, aged 35, of Bucklands Beach, an unemployed landscape contractor, aged 37, of Mount Eden, and a sickness beneficiary, aged 31, of Meadowbank, were charged in the District Court _ at Otahuhu with
conspiring to supply heroin.
They have not yet been asked to plead.
The Bucklands Beach shop owner was remanded to appear again in court next Monday. The other two were remanded to appear next Tuesday. South Auckland drug squad detectives arrested the three on Friday. The police found 66g of heroin, valued at close to $500,000.
