PA Auckland A Filipino man yesterday admitted conspiring to bring $263,000 worth of false United States bank notes into the country late last year. Efren Moran Duran, aged 33, a dietitian from Manila, admitted a charge of conspiring to deal with the United States Federal Reserve $lOO notes. He also pleaded guilty

before Judge Richardson in the District Court at Otahuhu to possession of fraudulent bank notes.

Three other Filipino men and one Filipino woman have pleaded not guilty at the outset of a jury trial. Leonardo Agalut Licayo, aged 37, a businessman, Edgardo Padolina Dupra, aged 30, a businessman, Levu Calango

Orillaza, aged 50, no occupation, and Jesus Leocadio Sebeldia, aged 36, a police patrolman, are all charged with conspiring to deal with the false bank notes.

Sebeldia and Dupra are also charged with possessing the notes. Judge Richardson said the trial could be lengthy, lasting all this week and into next week.
