Cycle lights
Sir,—Recently on a wet evening, during a busy traffic period, I was faced with three situations, all within a distance of 450 m. Not only was each cyclist without a light, but two of them .were riding “no hands” and wearing a headset, and one of these rode right through a busy intersection while lights were changing. In the interests of safety, and indeed the sanity of the motorist, I appeal for a blitz, with instant fines,/in an endeavour to curb the problem. — ;Yours, etc., E. K. MAXTED. June 15, 1988.
