Nijinsky yearling probable sale topper
PA Wellington A half-brother to last month’s Kentucky Derby winner, Winning Colours, is among 22 Nijinsky yearlings catalogued for JCeeneland’s premier sales round next month. Nijinsky, winner of the Epsom Derby, is the best represented of the world’s leading commercial sires in the sale. There are 11 yearlings from the penultimate crop of his sire, Northern Dancer, while reigning champion sire, Mr Prospector, has 18 catalogued. Nureyev, sire of Breeders’ Cup winner, Miesque, and Theatrical, has 11 representatives.
