Calligraphers form society

The New Zealand Society of Calligraphers has been formed in Christchurch.

An introductory subscription has been set at $lO. Once the society has become established;' an annual subscription will be struck.

Membership is sought from those involved in calligraphy and the graphic arts professionally, and people with a general interest in fine lettering and handwriting.

The society intends, as part of its activities, to

produce a magazine containing local and international news and information on forthcoming events, to organise workshops, to arrange visits by overseas and local professionals, and to hold master classes.
