Red Cross appeal up
PA Wellington The New Zealand Red Cross Society says its 1988 appeal has raised $BBO,OOO — slightly more than the 1987 total of $879,000. The appeal was held in the week from April 17 to 23. The society’s secre-tary-general, Mr Jerry Talbot, said the society was grateful that in such difficult economic times, support was continuing for its work both at home and abroad.
