Cancer report delayed
A report i on[ the treatment of cervical cancer at { National Women’s Hospital has been delayed until June. Judge Sylvia Cartwright, who headed the cervical cancer inquiry, was to have reported to the Minister of Health, Mr Caygill, by March 31. However, the inquiry took longer than expected and her report has been delayed until June 10. The inquiry was set up in June last year after a magazine article by Sandra Coney and Phillida Bunkie alleged there had been a failure to treat carcinoma in situ at National Women’s Hospital. A
