Tapper breaks swim record
PA Dunedin Southland's Joanne Tapper broke the New Zealand record in! the women's 50 metres 1 freestyle at the national championships yesterday. winning the final in 27.81 seconds. The record, set in 1987 by Sarah Mahon, was 27.98 seconds. “I’m excited. I feel really good. It is more than I hoped for,” Tapper said after the race.
