Peau fight going ahead
PA Auckland The promoters of Jimmy Peau’s amateur fight against the; Soviet Union’s No. 2 ranked heavyweight, Ramzan Sebiev, will go ahead on April 21 despite , Peau’s knockout loss ito a lesser ranked Soviet Union fighter, Arsaliev Usman, in Seoul on Wednesday evening. { Peau was decked 10 seconds before the end of the first round after walking into a powerful right hand from Usman. “We always knew this was a possibility when we organised the April 21 promotion,” the spokesman for the proposed Auckland fight, Mr Armin Lindenberg, said
“We are also aware of the mandatory { 28-day suspension on any amateur fighter who is knocked out. Peau will have served out the 28day suspension i by the time |of the April 21 fight.” Peau must now beat Sebiev), the silver medallist at this year’s European championships.
