Bus service
Sir.—ls it correct that the present Railways: Corporation bus service in North Canterbury is being rationalised and will cease within a month? ■— Yours, etc., ALISTAIR BURBURY. March 4, 1988.
[The area operations manager, Mr B. C. Wilson, replies: “Mr Burbury is not very specific when he says the 'bus service in North Canterbury’. There are, in fact, many services throughout North i Canterbury. These services, like any throughout the entire ‘country, are liable to be reviewed and, where necessary, rationalised, at any time. I 'can assure Mr Burbury that at this point no North Canterbury service is being considered for rationalisation, and that there certainly will not be any cessation within a month."]
