Charge after tourist hurt
A youth appeared in the District Court at Nelson yesterday charged with reckless driving in connection with an incident last week where an American tourist allegedly received a broken leg.
Brendan Deane Bruce, aged .17, an assistant baker, was charged with causing injury . to Sean
Gerard Basara while driving in a {reckless manner; failing to render assistance and driving without a licence.
The offences allegedly occured | in Nelson on March 31
No pleas were entered and Bruce, who was represented by Mrs Joanna Maze, was remanded to next Tuesday.
