Duty on catamarans
PA Wellington, Large Australian-made aluminium catamarans imported into New Zealand will now be subject to anti-dumping and countervailing duties, said the Minister of Customs, Mr de Cleene. The duties will apply to
boats more than 18 metres in length. Four {Australian-made catamarans of this size had been imported into New Zealand within the i last 18 months, but these would not have retrospective {duties applied to > them, he said.
