The Company has its main office in Christchurch and manufactures. upholstered and cabinet furniture which is distributed throughout New Zealand and Australia. An I B M. S/36 PC is used in conjunction with B.P.C.S. software, operating accounts receivable, payroll, purchasing and general ledger with further expansion planned for manufacturing and distribution. The appointee will be responsible for all computer processing for what will become a fully Integrated system. Ideally; applicants will have the practical experience to operate the system and come from an industrial or manufacturing background. As well, as EDP responsibilities other tasks involve ordering of raw materials, control of receipts and payments and other allied duties. An ability to type to a reasonable standard would be an advantage.
