Addington market Slump in sheep prices in big yarding

Lamps and adult sh,eep had poor sales at Addington yesterday,l a lack; of interested buyers’ being ’ a common cause. | Lamb vendors also!had the problem of too much stock being offered for sale on the one day, and many (of them were too light. Prices for lambs and sheep fell $2.

Cattie had a quiet sale but good prices for top-line stock kept other values in line with last week, heifers being the exception. In the pig section, Choppers again ( had ari excellent sale, prices reaching $350.

j Prime lambs Too many lambs j and not enough buyers forced lamb prices down at least $2 yesterday. Top-line stock were probably hit even harder, prices reaching just $28.60 for good rams which last week; might have made as much: as $33. A I drop in the export schedules as well as a large percentage of the; yarding being made up of small, light lambs was also responsible for the drop in price.
