Bank’s reply soon
Trustbank Canterbury will soon reply to requests for new banking services from areas that lost their Postßank facilities earlier this month. The manager of new services, Mr John Laird, said eight formal requests and several informal inquiries had been received. All requests were being given serious consideration, but the final strategy for servicing new areas would be determined by commercial realities, he said. However, the bank was concerned that any initiatives it took to fill gaps left by Postßank’s departure were “fair and consistent.”
