Martha Hill
The Downer subsidiary, Downer Mining, has signed a ' mining contract with the Waihi Gold Mining Company for the Martha Hill gold mine in Waihi. Downer Mining signed a five-year contract to carry out the mining and transport work with Waihi Gold, the managers of the mining operation. It will be responsible for the opencast mining work, the transport of ore-bearing material, and waste rock, using a two kilometre conveyer system. The company will shift 10M cubic metres of ore and waste.
