New head greenkeeper
A Canterbury representative golfer, Neville Brightwell, has been appointed head greenkeeper at McLeans Island. Brightwell, at present first assistant greenkeeper at Templeton, will assume his new duties in mid-March.
Brightwell, the secretarytreasurer of the Canterbury Greenkeepers’ Association, will replace Colin Heasley. Heasley, the head greenkeeper at McLeans Island since 1975, was also Brightwell’s predecessor in the administrative position on the association.
