Pecci plans comeback
NZPA-Reuter Asuncion Paraguay’s Victor Pecci said yesterday that he was planning his tennis comeback for the Davis Cup relegation match against New Zealand at Asuncion in April. Pecci, aged 32, who has returned to full training after recovering from surgery on his back, missed
Paraguay’s 5-0 Davis Cup world group defeat by Czechoslovakia in Prague last week-end. The South Americans, who reached the 16-nation world group by upsetting the United States last year, hope to remain in the top group by beating New Zealand, which was also shut out, 5-0, by the Davis Cup champion, Sweden, in Gavle.
