Six-wicket victory
NZPA-AAP Alice Springs South Australia cruised to a six-wicket victory over a disappointing Sri Lanka in a one-day clash at Traeger Park yesterday. Boosted by a man-of-the-match winning 53 from the former test opener, Andrew Hilditch, South Australia scored 4-132 off 39 overs
after bundling the tourists out for 131.
With less than a fortnight to the one-off test against Australia in Perth, the Sri Lankans have only two more matches — against Victorian Country and Victoria — to sort out their batting problems. Their top scorer yesterday was the all-rounder Asanka Gurusinha with 29.
