Obituary Mr G. Spackman
PA Wellington Mr George Spackman, a former publicist for top stars such as Frank Sina-
tra and Sammy Davis, jun, has died in Wellington. He was aged 62. Mr Spackman had been the director of the Wellington Arts Centre in Upper Willis Street since June last year. He was a publicist in Hollywood and London for television companies and for individual movie and television stars. Show business dominated his life and since his return to New Zealand in 1980 he had been closely involved with theatre in Wellington. He served as the president of the Downstage Theatre Society and wafs a member of the theatre's trust board. 1 r
