Bryndwr girl hit by car
A girl, aged eight, suffered serious head injuries when struck by a car on the Main North Road at Redwood yesterday afternoon. Rebecca Lattaney, of Truman Road, Bryndwr, was admitted to Christchurch Hospital. Senior-Sergeant lari Freeman, of the Ministry of Transport, said Rebecca was crossing the Main North Road at the intersection with Daniels Road when the accident occurred.
Senior-Sergeant Freeman said the driver of the car has been interviewed, but the Ministry was keen to hear from witnesses.
