Retail building approved
A plan to build a retail and parking complex next to the Civic Offices, in Tuam Street, has been approved by the Christchurch City Council town planning committee. The three-storey building will have a retail shop on the ground floor and two levels of car-parks,
providing 42 parking spaces for long-term use. The committee approved the application, saying there was a need for more private longterm parks in the area. Short-term off-street parking was provided for the public by the Tuam Street car-park.
