Prize-winner has plans
PA Wellington A Wellington man who won a one-third share in the division 1 Lotto prize on Saturday says he has already decided how his $261,629.40 will be spent. A new house, a boat and a trip overseas are priorities for the Tawa father of two who discov-
ered that he was one of the lucky three only on Tuesday morning. Another of the winners, a retired rugby league player, from South Auckland, aged 70, said he won a division 4 prize only two weeks ago. He plans to invest his winnings. The third winner was a mother of two from
Palmerston North. The woman said she bought a lucky dip with money left over from her grocery shopping. She said the win was “a long time coming.” She would use the money to pay off her mortgage. The total division 1 prize pool was $784,888.36.
