Norman advances
NZPA-Reuter Antwerp ■ The world champion, Jansher Khan, and his predecessor, New Zealand’s Ross Norman, yesterday both advanced to the second round of the Belgian Grand Prix squash tournament. The 18-year-old Jansher thrashed the Australian qualifier, Greg Pearson, 9-1, 9-1, 9-1 in just 16 minutes, but the defending champion Norman was put through a sterner test by the Welshman Adrian Davies, ranked No. 36 in the world. , Norman, aged 29, briefly lost control in the third game after easily taking the first two games, but he moved up a gear in the fourth and prevailed 9-5, 9-0, 79, 9-5.
