Smoking, drinking
Sir, —I could not agree more with the comments of J. M. Payne (January 25) regarding the effects of smoking on the unborn child. For them there is no escape. However, having smoked through two pregnancies and delivered two healthy children, one nearly 81b and the other a robust 91b, I cannot help feeling slightly worried about what would have happened if I had stopped smoking!— Yours, etc SUE HAMPTON.
