First for roller hockey women

New Zealand will be represented for the first time in a major international women’s roller hockey competition when a team of 10 contest the Eurocup in Eldingen, West Germany, from May 13 to 15. Although New Zealand has played against Australia, it has never been involved in a series involving other nations. Teams from West Germany, Britain, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands and France

will be among its rivals.
