Boat, trailer stolen
A $4OOO power boat and a trailer were stolen from the car park of the Redwood Inn, on the Main North Road, on Monday evening.
Detective Senior-Ser-geant Mike Muddiman said the owner left the boat and trailer, which were coupled to his car, about 8.30 p.m.
He returned about 10 p.m. to find the trailer and boat missing.
The boat was a steelhulled Cougar Cub with a 40 hp Mercury outboard engine. The trailer’s registration number is 26 PAY. Detective Senior Sergeant Muddiman said another power boat was stolen in the city about a week ago and at least two attempts to take boats had been reported since late last year.
