Better reception for Geldof
PA Auckland The famine-fighter and rock singer, Bob Geldof, aims to make his brief stay in Auckland special for his wife and their child. It is the first time Paula Yates and Fifi Trixibell, aged five, have visited New Zealand.
Having missed the drugs dogs that paid particular regard to his underpants on his last visit, in 1981, Geldof said on his arrival yesterday at Auckland Airport that he wanted to show his family around the city. His visit tomorrow to Orakei Marae at Bastion Point is likely to be the highlight of his stay before Friday’s appearance at the Neon Picnic Music Festival.
